The TWIST program announced by the Technological Agency of the Czech Republic to support research and development
The program will follow the goals of national strategies such as the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, the Concept of Digital Economy and Society and the National Semiconductor Strategy. The output of the projects will be concrete solutions applicable on the market and abroad: new materials, prototypes, proven technologies, software and other results of applied research and innovation put into practice.
Form and amount of support
Companies and research organizations from all over the Czech Republic can receive subsidies. The amount of support will depend on the focus of the projects:
- subsidies of up to 70% of the costs incurred for industrial research and experimental development
- subsidy of up to 50% for the costs associated with the implementation of the innovation in practice
Eligible costs within the project
- Salaries of researchers
- Procurement of material and equipment for the needs of the project
- Costs of external services and contract research
- Other costs
Examples of supported areas
- Production technology: advanced production technology, advanced materials, nanotechnology, industrial biotechnology
- Digital technology: micro and nanoelectronics, photonics, artificial intelligence
- Cyber technologies: security and connectivity
